Saturday, June 6, 2015 was International Trails Day, and Nova Scotians across the province celebrated our community-based trails groups and the recreational opportunity that trails provide to the public.
Many folks got outside and enjoyed their local community trails with family and friends on June 6, with a few events held over until June 7 due to inclement weather.
Founded by the Nova Scotia Trails Federation 13 years ago, International Trails Day is an annual celebration of trails that takes place on the first Saturday in June. It promotes trail development, the use of trails and the healthy lifestyle they encourage.
Here are some photos shared with us from International Trails Day events that took place on June 6 and June 7.
